Medium & Large Fries Bags (Iceland)
Client: KFC
Company: EP Group
Role: Creative Artworker / Packaging Designer
Contribution Overview
Prepared the production artwork for a KFC Iceland fries bag, adapting an existing packaging cutter to the latest approved specification and applying the customer's supplied graphics for manufacture.
I was responsible for updating the cutter to match the revised production dimensions, positioning the artwork accurately across the pack, and applying the correct recycling symbols and packaging compliance marks. A key consideration was the placement of the KFC logo on the reverse of the bag, ensuring it remained fully visible once the flaps were folded and glued during assembly. This required adjusting the rear logo position independently from the front artwork to account for hidden glue areas and normal production tolerances.
The artwork was colour-managed to the requested PANTONE Black 6 U specification and prepared as a production-ready file suitable for print manufacture. Following internal quality checks and external client review, the artwork was approved and released for full production.
